What would you wear when apocalypse happens?

Polina Oleynikova is young designer, born in Russia, studied in England and Italy obtained international experience. Her cultural heritage juxtaposed with live in foreign counties became a unique database for her with infinite inspiration.

She combines art and fashion, passionate about both, creates surreal and bold pieces. One of her recent works is a collaboration project with Gena Marvin (performance artist, https://www.instagram.com/genamarvin/). Polina made a custom outfit for Gena done in pink felt, consisting of a bumpy body, hand and leg accessories and a catsuit.

Being rigid piece the felt body creates expressive movements by distorting the body silhouette. It is showing the body differently and explores new possibilities to look at human body.

Polina created a piece that makes you feel out of your comfort zone.

Gena is constantly exploring its’ limits.

Together they made an experience that confuses adults and excites children. Makes you want to have a bite of an apocalyptic, alluring cake.
