Black Lyre, 2022

I came to the Mariupol Theater that was destroyed during the Russia-Ukraine war by Russian airstrikes with up to 1300 people inside, around 600 died. I left my iPhone under the ruins of the stage with the audio recording turned on overnight. The iPhone performed the act of recording and, at the same time, documented the performance. The recording lasted until the battery of the phone dried out.
